Why do you need a Steam Game Server Login Token?
Valve refuses player connections to a CS2 server that has no token, so it is not optional. It is free: open steamcommunity.com/dev/managegameservers, pick app 730, paste the token at checkout. We store it encrypted and apply it on every boot.
How much RAM does a CS2 server need?
A 5v5 competitive server runs happily on 4 GB; 32-slot public servers with plugins want 8 GB, and 64-slot ZE/jailbreak servers 12 GB. CS2 is CPU-hungry once players start shooting, which is why every plan gets dedicated cores.
Can I run plugins like CounterStrikeSharp?
Yes — addons live under game/csgo/addons and are backed up with the rest of your config, so a reinstall or a restart never wipes your plugin stack.
Can I change the game mode and map?
Yes. The server boots into Casual on de_dust2 by default and you can change game_type/game_mode, the map rotation, tick settings and any other cvars in game/csgo/cfg/server.cfg through the file manager.
