How much does CoalHosting cost?
€2 per GB of RAM per month, from €4/month for a 2 GB server. A 4 GB server is €8, a 16 GB server is €32. The first 25 player slots are included with every plan.
Is CoalHost good for players in Europe?
Yes — every server runs from a Helsinki, Finland datacenter on dedicated Hetzner hardware with per-server CPU, so EU players get low ping and no neighbour can steal your performance. Modpacks are boot-tested on that exact hardware and the results are published at /benchmarks.
Are there limits on players?
The first 25 player slots are included with every plan. Above that, extra slots are tiered (€0.50 / €0.75 / €1.00 per slot, monthly) — see /pricing for the exact brackets.
How do I know a modpack will run on CoalHost?
We boot-test every modpack we host on the same hardware customers get and publish the results: 163 packs marked verified, experimental or broken, with the reason documented, at /benchmarks. You can check your pack before you pay.
What games are supported?

Can I install modpacks?
Yes. Browse and install modpacks directly from Modrinth, CurseForge, FTB and ATLauncher in one click — and import packwiz or ZIP server packs when needed.
How long does setup take?
Popular Minecraft and game servers are usually ready in under two minutes. Larger modpacks can take longer; the panel shows installation progress while they are being prepared.
Can I change RAM later?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade RAM any time in the billing portal; the change takes effect on the next cycle.
