How to Host a Monifactory Server

Monifactory brings GT-level difficulty to a modern Minecraft version, which makes hosting it correctly from day one more important than usual: enough RAM, a proper modpack flow, a clean first boot and backups before anyone touches an ore processing chain that took weeks to build.

1

Start with 8 GB unless this is a very small server — Monifactory's own recommended floor.

2

Use a proper modpack import flow instead of guessing from a client export.

3

Watch the first boot logs until the server finishes loading on 1.20.1 and GregTech's multi-block machines register cleanly.

4

Invite players only after the first clean startup.

5

Take a backup before world imports, updates or config changes — losing a GregTech ore processing chain is a very bad night.

Use a cleaner Monifactory path

CoalHost is built around modpack hosting, which matters even more on a pack where a bad start costs weeks of progress.
