How to Host a RAD2 Server
Hosting RAD2 cleanly is less about some hidden command and more about doing the obvious things in the right order: enough RAM, a proper modpack flow, a clean first boot and backups before anyone pushes into the next dungeon.
1
Start with 8 GB unless this is a very small server — RAD2's own recommended floor.
2
Use a proper modpack import flow instead of guessing from a client export.
3
Watch the first boot logs until the server finishes loading — 12+ dimensions take real time to generate.
4
Invite players only after the first clean startup.
5
Take a backup before world imports, updates or config changes — a lost dungeon run is a bad night.
Use a cleaner RAD2 path
CoalHost is built around modpack hosting, which makes RAD2 much less annoying to launch correctly.
