How these numbers are measured
For each pack we spin up a clean Hetzner VM, run the exact install path a customer gets, and start the server, waiting for it to accept a real Minecraft connection through initial chunk generation. If it runs out of memory, we raise the container RAM and rerun. The floor you see is the smallest that actually fit — not the minimum that technically starts, and not a padded upsell number. When a boot failed, we read the crash log, found the mod responsible, and baked the fix into the install, which is why each pack lists the crash fixes it applies before first boot.

Will my modpack run on 8GB of RAM?
It depends on the pack. Light packs boot on 4 GB, but many modern kitchen-sink packs need 8 to 12 GB before the world even finishes generating. This checker gives a yes/no per pack from real boot tests on dedicated servers, not from recommended-RAM guesses.
How do you know the real RAM a modpack needs?
For every pack listed we spin up a clean VM, run the exact install a customer gets, and start the server until it accepts a real Minecraft connection. If it runs out of memory we raise the container RAM and retry. The number shown is the floor that actually fit — measured, not marketed.
My host gives me 8GB — is that enough for this pack?
Pick the pack and press 8 GB. If it's at or above our measured floor it will boot; if it's below, expect out-of-memory crashes during chunk generation. Remember player count pushes the requirement higher, so size up before a busy server.
What if my modpack isn't listed?
Only packs we've actually boot-tested appear here, so every answer is real. For anything else, use the modpack RAM calculator for an estimate, then start there and scale up if needed.
