Boards
Divisions
SCORE = bots × pack weight × 10 ÷ RAM. The heaviest pack you can still hold at 20 TPS wins.
The masochist bracket. Two gigabytes, the heaviest pack you can hold at 20 TPS.
The classic. Where most contestants land and most JVM-flags die.
The kitchen-sink bracket. Big packs, big bot counts, no RAM excuses.
Raw egotism: most bots sustained at 20 TPS, any indexed pack, any RAM. Top 8 → Finals.
Your own creations, unranked and shareable. Chaos is the point.
Integrity
Measured, not claimed
- All official runs execute on our hardware — measurement happens on the server, not in your browser.
- Bot counts, MSPT and the pack fingerprint are logged by the panel. The top 3 are re-run on fresh containers before the podium.
- One entry per Discord account. Disqualifications are published — the process is part of the event.

Questions
Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. The Challenge Server is free for the whole event window (Oct 5–19, 2026) — no card, no purchase. Claim it with a code from this page. If you fall in love with it, paid plans are one click away and your world moves with you untouched.
What are the bots?
Fake players spawned via the Carpet mod — the community-standard way to load-test a Minecraft server. They walk, break blocks and stress ticks like real players. The server logs the bot count itself; a run's score never comes from your client.
Can I use my own modpack?
Yes — submit it and we index it with the same measurement rig that produced the CoalPack Weight Index (usually within 72h). Custom packs compete in the Frankenstein division: unranked, fully shareable, chaos encouraged.
What happens to my world after the event?
It's yours. Download it, or continue on any plan — the upgrade keeps the world, the configs and the invite links untouched.
How do you prevent cheating?
All official runs execute on CoalHosting infrastructure with server-side measurement: bot counts, MSPT and pack fingerprints are captured by the panel, not the player. The top 3 scores are re-run by a referee on fresh containers before the podium is published.
How is the score calculated?
SCORE = bots × pack weight × 10 ÷ RAM (GB). Running a heavy pack (high CoalPack Weight Index) with many bots on little RAM wins the cups. The Absolute board is simpler: most bots sustained at 20 TPS, any RAM.
