Origins gives each player a unique racial ability set at start (human, merling, elytrian, etc.); the RPG layer adds skill trees, quest chains, and gear progression on top of those innate abilities. The combination creates natural role differentiation in multiplayer: different Origins complement each other in ways vanilla parties don't.
