Modpacks/Boot-tested server hosting
Crucial 2 - The Refresh Update Server Hosting
A polished Forge kitchen-sink for 1.16.5 with 701K downloads — one of the better-maintained packs for that version. Crucail 2 targets a broad audience: tech (Mekanism, Thermal), magic (Botania, Occultism), exploration (Biomes O' Plenty), and a quality-of-life layer that makes the pack feel coherent rather than a random pile of mods. Good pick for groups who prefer 1.16 over 1.18+ due to specific mod availability, or who want a curated Forge kitchen-sink with documented compatibility testing.

Most “does this modpack work on a server” answers are guesses. This one isn't: Crucial 2 - The Refresh Update is in our boot-tested catalog, which means we installed it end-to-end on a real VM, measured the RAM it actually needs, and recorded the mods that crash a dedicated server — then handled them automatically so your first boot doesn't hit the crashes we already found.

Common questions
How much RAM does a Crucial 2 - The Refresh Update server need?
We measured 7 GB as the boot floor on a real dedicated VM — not a guess. The signup flow pre-sizes to 7 GB so you can't accidentally under-provision.
Does Crucial 2 - The Refresh Update work on a dedicated server?
Yes — 2/3 recent boots succeeded on a real dedicated server, latest 2026-09-04. We install it end-to-end, boot it, and confirm it accepts Minecraft connections before we list it.
What happens if it crashes anyway?
Every server gets automated backups plus a crash-analyzer that reads the actual log, matches it against known modpack failures and either applies the fix or restores the backup.
