How to Host a Valhelsia 3 Server
Valhelsia 3 is the Valhelsia Team's Forge 1.16.5 kitchen-sink, the predecessor generation to Valhelsia 6 already in the catalog. It shares the same Create automation, Botania magic, and Biomes O' Plenty exploration philosophy, but runs the older 1.16.5 mod ecosystem — a different experience, not a reskin, even for groups who've already played the newer version.
Give Valhelsia 3 at least 8 GB of RAM to start. Create's automation chains, Botania's mana network, and Biomes O' Plenty's expanded worldgen all add load fast, and that 8 GB floor comes straight from the pack's own recommended spec, not a generic third-party guess.
Install the server from a Forge 1.16.5 modpack import, not a rebuild from a client export. Pick Valhelsia 3 specifically rather than Valhelsia 6 — the mod versions only line up correctly against the 1.16.5 lineup this pack is built on.
Watch the console through first boot until Forge finishes loading every mod and Biomes O' Plenty generates fresh chunks without errors. Create's kinetic network and Botania's flower and mana registration are common spots where a mismatched mod jar shows up as a crash rather than just a slow load.
Only invite players once that first boot has completed cleanly end to end. A world that starts generating terrain while mods are still half-registered tends to bake broken chunks into the save permanently.
Take a backup before any world import, loader update, or config change. In a kitchen-sink pack like this, a bad update can wipe out hours of Create contraption builds or a carefully grown Botania mana setup in one restart.
Use a cleaner Valhelsia 3 path
CoalHost is built around modpack hosting, which makes Valhelsia 3 much less annoying to launch correctly.
