Start from a 6 GB RAM floor. That's the recommended baseline for Vagrant Saga's NeoForge 1.21.1 modlist, and since the pack leans on exploration-driven world generation rather than a single built-up base, don't try to shave it down — undersized RAM shows up as chunk-loading stutter while you're out wandering, which is exactly when you don't want it.

Import the modpack directly rather than guessing from a client export. Upload the official Vagrant Saga server pack through your host's modpack importer so the NeoForge version, mod list, and configs match the client exactly — mismatched versions are the single most common reason a wanderer-style pack refuses to load correctly for everyone.

Watch the first boot through to a clean finish in the console.
