How to Host a [TaCZ] Timeless and Classics Zero Guns + addons Server

Start with an 8 GB RAM floor. TaCZ's gun models, animations, and the full roster of addon weapons add real memory overhead on top of a normal Forge 1.20.1 world, and 8 GB is the floor the pack itself recommends, not a generic modpack guess.

Import the modpack as a clean .zip or server pack instead of trying to rebuild it mod-by-mod from a client export — TaCZ addons are picky about exact mod versions matching, and a mismatched addon jar is the most common cause of guns that silently fail to load their models.

Watch the startup logs through to a clean finish before doing anything else. TaCZ registers a large number of gun items and attachments during world load, so confirm there are no missing-dependency or duplicate-registration errors from any of the addon jars before moving on.

Only invite players once that first boot has completed cleanly and you've confirmed the gun registry loaded without errors — a half-loaded TaCZ install tends to show up as crafting recipes or attachments missing in-game rather than a crash, which is harder to diagnose with players already on.

Take a backup before importing an existing world, updating the TaCZ base mod, or changing any addon's config — a version mismatch between TaCZ and its addons after an update can corrupt saved gun/attachment data tied to player inventories, and that's not something you want to discover after the fact.
