How to Host a Farming Valley Server
Hosting Farming Valley cleanly is less about some hidden command and more about doing the obvious things in the right order: a sensible RAM floor for multiplayer (not the solo-play minimum), a proper modpack flow, a clean first boot and backups before anything risky.
Start with 6 GB for a normal group — a comfortable floor above the bare 3-4 GB minimum some guides quote for solo play.
Use a proper modpack import flow instead of guessing from a client export.
Watch the first boot logs until the server finishes loading and the farming-sim world generates cleanly.
Invite players only after the first clean startup.
Take a backup before world imports, Forge updates or config changes — a season's worth of crops and animals is slow to rebuild.
Use a cleaner Farming Valley path
CoalHost is built around modpack hosting, which makes Farming Valley much less annoying to launch correctly.
