How to Host a Create Live 4 Server
Create Live 4 is the fourth episode of the popular Create-centric series, built on Fabric for Minecraft 1.19.2. It's centered on Create's kinetic machinery and contraption system, with a tight quest book and a curated set of Fabric mods that complement Create without overwhelming it. Unlike the Forge-based Create packs — Above and Beyond, Astral, Perfect World — Create Live 4 runs on Fabric, so hosting it correctly starts with matching that loader and version exactly.
Start with at least 6 GB of RAM — Create Live 4's own recommended floor — since Create's kinetic machinery and the pack's curated Fabric mod set need headroom beyond a plain Fabric server.
Import the official Create Live 4 modpack file directly instead of rebuilding it from a client export, so the Fabric loader version and curated mod list match exactly what the quest book expects.
Watch the first boot through to a clean 'Done' line in the console — Create's kinetic machinery and world-gen hooks need to finish registering before the server is stable, so don't move on until the logs settle without errors.
Only open the server to players after that first clean startup has fully finished — Create's rotational contraptions can desync badly if players start building while chunks and block entities are still initializing.
Take a backup before importing an existing world, updating the Fabric loader, or changing quest book/config files — a Create contraption-heavy base is far more painful to rebuild than a vanilla world if something goes wrong.
Use a cleaner Create Live 4 path
CoalHost is built around modpack hosting, which makes Create Live 4 much less annoying to launch correctly.
