How Much RAM Does an All the Magic Spellbound Server Need?

All the Magic Spellbound (see the All the Magic Spellbound pack page) unifies Thaumcraft, Blood Magic, Botania, Ars Nouveau, and Astral Sorcery on Forge 1.16.5 with deliberately no tech mods, so unlike kitchen-sink packs or Ars-Nouveau-only packs like Chosen's Modded Adventure, all your RAM budget goes toward five concurrent magic systems rather than being split with Create, Mekanism, or AE2. Here's how much memory to budget by server size. Finnish players: Minecraft-palvelin hosting is our native-language page. German players: Minecraft-Server mieten covers the same hosting auf Deutsch. Svenska spelare: Hyra Minecraft-server täcker samma hosting på svenska.

4 GB

Bare minimum for solo play or a duo. You can boot and play All the Magic Spellbound here, but Thaumcraft, Blood Magic, Botania, Ars Nouveau, and Astral Sorcery running together leave very little headroom, so expect occasional stutter once research and ritual systems ramp up.

6 GB

The best starting point for most servers, and the pack's own recommended floor. This covers the five magic mods running concurrently for a small-to-medium group without the garbage-collection pauses you'd see at 4 GB.

8 GB

Safer for a mid-size active group, especially once players start spreading across Astral Sorcery constellations and Blood Magic ritual networks that touch more chunks at once.

12 GB

For 10+ players or a long-running world with heavy Thaumcraft research progression and sprawling Botania flower fields — gives the server room to keep ticking smoothly as the map and the magic systems both grow.
