How Much RAM Does a VerityCraft Server Need?
VerityCraft is a horror modpack on Forge 1.20.1 built around Verity, an AI-driven virtual assistant that watches, listens, and reacts to your playthrough as you explore abandoned spaces — see the full VerityCraft pack page for everything included. Here's how much RAM to give it depending on your group size. Finnish players: Minecraft-palvelin hosting is our native-language page. German players: Minecraft-Server mieten covers the same hosting auf Deutsch. Svenska spelare: Hyra Minecraft-server täcker samma hosting på svenska.
6 GB
Bare minimum. Workable for a solo player or a tiny group exploring on Forge 1.20.1, but it leaves little headroom for Verity's AI event and dialogue systems to run alongside normal chunk loading — expect occasional stutter right when the horror moments are supposed to land.
8 GB
The best starting point for most VerityCraft servers. This matches the pack's own recommended floor and gives Verity's reactive systems and the rest of the Forge mod list enough room to run smoothly for a small-to-mid group.
10 GB
Safer for a mid-size active group exploring multiple abandoned areas at once. The extra headroom keeps Verity's scripted events responsive even when several players are triggering them in different parts of the world simultaneously.
12 GB
Recommended for 10+ players or a long-running world. Keeps performance stable as explored areas, Verity's accumulated reactions, and general world state grow over weeks of play.
